- How to reach downtown Lyon and Ecole Centrale de Lyon (ECL) ?
By plane. If you arrive in Lyon by plane, you will need to reach ECL from downtown Lyon. From Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, take the Rhônexpress train and stop to Lyon Part-Dieu train station (about 30 minutes, round trip ticket 23 € , you can purchase your ticket at a vending machine or directly to the staff in the train).
By train. When arriving by the TGV (high speed train) from Paris, stop at "Lyon Perrache", often the second stop in Lyon after Lyon Part-Dieu (Moreover, it is easy to take another train from Part-Dieu to Perrache when arriving at Part-Dieu).
Note that you can also take the subway to reach ECL from Part-Dieu station: line B, direction Gerland, take the connection to line D (green) at Saxe-Gambetta, stop at "Gorge de Loup", and then take the bus No. 3 and stop at "Lyon Campus Ouest".
From Lyon downtown to ECL. From Perrache train station, take the bus No. 55 (final stop: Lyon Campus Ouest (ECL), bus every 20 minutes).
It is also possible to reach ECL from "Gorge de Loup" subway station (line D - green line - click on the map to enlarge): take the bus No. 3 and stop at "Lyon Campus Ouest".
Bus timetables are available on the TCL website.Taxi to ECL. From Lyon St-Exupéry airport, fare about 55 € (Taxi fares are more expensive at night and holidays, about 73 €). From Lyon downtown to ECL, the fare is about 25 €.
