Directions to reach ECL

• How to reach downtown Lyon and Ecole Centrale de Lyon (ECL) ?
  ECL is located approximately 12 km from downtown Lyon, and can be reached in 30-40 minutes by public transport.

  By plane. If you arrive in Lyon by plane, you will need to reach ECL from downtown Lyon. From Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, take the Rhônexpress train and stop to Lyon Part-Dieu train station (terminus); less than 30 minutes, round trip ticket 25.90 €, you can purchase your ticket at a vending machine or online. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport to downtown Lyon, which will cost approximately 55 € (Taxi fares are more expensive at night and holidays, about 73 €). Taxis can be found in front of terminals 1 and 2. By train. When arriving by the TGV (high speed train) from Paris, you can stop at Lyon Part-Dieu station (first stop) or sometimes at Lyon Perrache station (the second stop in Lyon after Lyon Part-Dieu station from Paris).

  From Lyon downtown to ECL. Public transportation in Lyon is managed by TCL. Tickets are the same for metro, trams and buses and are valid for 1 hour (e.g. you can take a metro, then a bus with the same ticket within an hour). You can buy tickets from metro or tram stations (also in buses while getting in, but at a higher price). From Part-Dieu station, (Vivier Merle gate) take the bus C6 stop at "Lyon Campus Ouest" (just in front of ECL, final stop). You can also catch the bus C6 ou C6E (for Express) at Gare de Vaise (final stop of the subway line D, green line). There is also a connection with the bus 3 from Gorge de Loup (station of the subway line D, green line) to "Lyon Campus Ouest" From Perrache train station, take the bus No. 55 (final stop: Lyon Campus Ouest, just in front of ECL, bus every 20 minutes). Bus timetables are available on the TCL website. Taxi to ECL.
