Geneviève Comte-Bellot
is an emeritus Professor at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, member of the french Academy of Technologies,
corresponding member of the french Academy of Sciences. She is
commandeur dans l'Ordre national du Mérite
(This Order was founded by General de Gaulle, President of the Republic.
It is the third national award in line of precedence and is managed by the Grand Chancery of the Legion of Honour).
Geneviève Comte-Bellot is also «Foreign Associate» of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE, USA)
and Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
